Derland Bahr CPA, Inc offers Tax (Individuals and Businesses), Accounting, and Payroll Services.

Our firm opened in November 2014, in order to provide cost efficient and professional services to individuals and businesses in the Killeen and Harker Heights area.  The firm is built around three central tenets: professional service, reasonable prices, and maintaining a quick turnaround for simple tax returns.  Our goal has been to build long term relationships with clients that come back year after year.  There are a number of clients that came to us the first tax season we were open in early 2015 (for their 2014 returns), that are still our clients today.  Each year we have added new clients.  Many come back year after year.  Some that have moved away to other states are still our clients today.

Derland Bahr, CPA received an MBA (with an emphasis in Accounting) from Midwestern State University in December 2006.  He received CPA certification with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in the Summer of 2009.  He worked at a few different CPA firms from 2007 -2014, before starting his own in late 2014.

Maricarmen Salters (Mari) is the Office, Payroll, and Bookkeeping Administrator.  She started working here in December 2019.  Before coming to work here in 2019, she was an Accounting Manager for a number of businesses.  She has worked in the field of payroll/bookkeeping for 20+ years.

Elvis Kelly (EA) has worked in tax preparation for over 20 years.  He became an enrolled agent in 2013.  Before coming to work here in April of 2018, he had previously worked for two different CPA firms (Lott Vernon & Co PC and Knutson & Bedrich, CPA).  Elvis is semi-retired, but helps us out in tax season from January through April and sometimes during other parts of the year as needed.
